Mad Science Camp

GROSSOLOGY – The Science of Bodies  This camp offers a chance to explore just how gross our amazing bodies can be!  Get right down to the microscopic level to discover the stuff we’re all made of—cells!  Venture inward on a journey down the Mad Science Organ Trail and explore all our organs and body systems. Compare your body to birds and discover their unique characteristics: investigate feathers to see how birds fly, compare birds’ beaks and feet and how this helps them to feed and adapt to their surroundings, dissect owl pellets to find out what they eat! Finish the week with an introduction to some of the gross body chemistry we all need, including eructation (burps), flatulence, saliva and mucus! Topics will vary between morning and afternoon sessions. Ages: Kindergarten – 5th grade.
