Expose your child to every kind of Engineering.  Opportunities to learn STEAM subjects are all around us – in so many things that we do.  Our goal is to help prepare your child for STEAM subjects.  We encourage kids to learn difficult subjects through exploration of fun, hands-on projects and experiments.  We help you move “beyond the book” and help your kids build a strong identity and connection to STEAM subjects through hands-on learning.

Coding Video Games

Video games are everywhere and in almost every form you can imagine!  In Electronic Game Design: Ninja Attack!, we will create our own version of a Platform game set in a dojo that we will defend from a ninja attack!  We will use the Engineering Design Process to create a storyboard to outline the rules of play and characters for our game.  Then, we will use Clickteam Fusion 2.5® to bring our storyboard to life with programming.  At the end of the class, everyone takes home a working Windows compatible game.

Robotics 101

The curriculum for the Robotics 101 program is designed to introduce students to both robot building as well as programming.  The students will build robots to accomplish a specific task while using their imagination to make their robot better than the basic robot.  During the class students will discover the Engineering Design Process in a real world setting as they test their robots multiple times.
